The brief, and what we did with it
Our client had spent a decade collecting West African art and had nowhere to put it. The apartment became a gallery you can live in — soft bone walls, low furniture, and lighting positioned for the work rather than the room.
We kept every sightline low so the eye lands on the art, not the furniture. Even the sofa was drawn 40mm shorter than standard.
Cane, unlacquered brass and raw linen keep the space breathing in the humidity, and they age in a way we actually want.
